Shengjin Maritime Festival in Shengjin
Shëngjin is confirmed as one of Albania's four principal fishing ports, with over thirty vessels and roughly two hundred workers, but no independently branded Shëngjin Maritime Festival was confirmed. The closest documented public event is Lezhë municipality's annual tourist-season opening celebration held in Shëngjin near the Father Zef Pllumi statue.
A second research pass confirmed Shëngjin's status as one of only four principal Albanian sea fishing ports, alongside Sarandë, Vlorë and Durrës, with more than thirty private fishing vessels currently operating from its harbour and employing roughly two hundred people, a genuinely documented, centuries-old maritime economy rather than an inferred one.
