National Honey Festival in Macia

Argentina's largest beekeeping trade festival, held in Maciá, Entre Ríos, since 1996 on the grounds of a former railway yard. More than three hundred companies exhibit honey, mead, and beekeeping equipment alongside tastings and a concert program spread across three days each year, run jointly with the Expo Apícola del Mercosur to draw beekeepers from across the regional trade bloc.

Maciá grew up as a railway fuel stop, a station that supplied wood and coal to steam locomotives before the town developed the identity it holds today as Argentina's honey capital, a shift from fueling trains to producing one of Entre Ríos province's signature exports.
