National Brewing Barley Festival in Puan
A four-day summer festival on the shore of Laguna de Puan combining agricultural exhibitions tied to Argentina's leading barley-growing region with camping, beach access, rodeo-style jineteadas, sports tournaments and evening concerts, running since 1974 in a province that supplies most of the country's malting barley.
Puan's barley festival runs on the shore of its own lagoon: a 20-hectare fairground beside the Laguna de Puan doubles as campsite, beach and festival ground for four days each January, in a town whose surrounding fields supply a large share of Argentina's malting barley.
