Syunik Mulberry Festival in Goris/Meghri
An early-July harvest festival near Old Goris and Karahunj in Syunik region celebrating the mulberry, featuring fresh and dried fruit, mulberry syrup and preserves, homemade tuti oghi vodka, and tastings from local orchard producers. Its informal, producer-direct market atmosphere makes it easy to taste and buy straight from the orchard families who supply the harvest.
Early July marks the mulberry harvest across southern Armenia's Syunik region, and around the ancient Karahunj archaeological site and the terraced orchards near Old Goris, that harvest becomes the centerpiece of a regional food festival built entirely around one fruit.
