This regional regatta links Andros, the Bahamas' largest but least developed island, with the smaller Berry Islands chain, continuing the native-sloop racing tradition on a quieter, less touristed circuit than Exuma or Eleuthera. Exact host settlement, boat classes and published history remain thin, and travel between the two island groups is limited to small charter flights or private boats.
Andros and the Berry Islands sit apart from the busier Family Island regatta circuit that runs through Exuma, Long Island and Eleuthera, and this joint regatta gives the two island groups a shared sailing event despite the wide stretch of water between them.
