Motalskiya Prysmaki Culinary Festival in Motol
Motol, one of Belarus's largest villages, restages an entire traditional wedding across two days each August for the Motalskiya Prysmaki culinary festival. Held in Ivanovsky district, Brest region, the festival grew from a local Polesian cooking competition into an international folklore event, built around a reenacted Motol wedding, from matchmaking through the bride's ransom, alongside tastings of regional dishes, craft stalls and folk performances.
