Carnival in Bermuda in Hamilton/Pembroke/Bermuda venues
Carnival in Bermuda is the island's June carnival celebration, combining a costumed road parade through Hamilton and Pembroke with J'Ouvert paint parties, soca and reggae music, and masquerade bands built around annual costume themes. It grew from Bermuda Heroes Weekend, launched in 2013, and continues the wider Caribbean carnival tradition adapted to Bermuda's scale. It runs each June under a newly launched official site.
Bermuda's June carnival season brings a Caribbean-style celebration to an island better known for pastel cottages and golf courses, built around soca and reggae music, masquerade bands in feathered and beaded costumes, and a road parade that moves through Hamilton and neighboring Pembroke parish.
