Haa Spring Festival in Haa Valley

Haa's cultural festival is a modern, tourism-driven showcase for the valley's semi-nomadic yak-herding heritage, featuring archery competitions, folk performances and displays of highland herding life rather than temple ritual. It is a secular event distinct from the traditional religious Tshechu also held in the same valley later in the year, giving visitors two very different reasons to visit remote, high-altitude Haa.
