Tiradentes Gastronomy Festival

Tiradentes' Festival Cultura e Gastronomia, run by the Fartura platform since the late 1990s, is widely considered Brazil's oldest major food festival and one of its most prestigious, recently named among the world's best places to eat by Condé Nast Traveller. Staged across roughly ten free days each August in the colonial town's historic squares, it pairs open-air cooking demonstrations and food stalls with ticketed Festins dinners led by top, sometimes Michelin-starred, chefs.

Tiradentes turned its colonial streets into one of Brazil's leading stages for professional gastronomy when the Festival Cultura e Gastronomia arrived in the late 1990s, and the event is now often described as the country's oldest major food festival, run by the Fartura gastronomy platform since its founding.
