Sofia Beer Fest

Sofia hosts a recurring but shifting beer-festival tradition each summer, with recent editions branded and located differently year to year, South Park, the National Palace of Culture plaza, and venues near the airport have all hosted one. The best-documented recent version, Balkan Beer Bash, poured more than 150 draft beers from over a dozen countries. Expect Bulgarian craft breweries alongside a rotating international guest list.

Sofia's beer-festival calendar changes shape from year to year rather than centering on one fixed brand: past and recent editions have set up in South Park, on the plaza in front of the National Palace of Culture, and inside the Sofia Airport Center grounds, with a rotating cast of Bulgarian and regional breweries pouring by the glass.
