FIGO (Festival international de la gastronomie de Ouagadougou) is a Ouagadougou food festival run by the association Saveurs authentiques d'Afrique, now in its third edition, staged at Espace VITHRO. It pairs tastings and culinary heritage programming with the parente a plaisanterie joking-kinship tradition, treating food as a vehicle for cultural transmission rather than pure entertainment.
FIGO pairs plates of Burkinabe food with a specific social ritual, the parente a plaisanterie or joking-kinship tradition performed between named ethnic pairs, staged over three days each year at Ouagadougou's Espace VITHRO.
