South West Cultural Festival in Buea
South West Cultural Festival, organised by the South West Chiefs' Conference under Prime Ministerial patronage, brings the six divisions of Cameroon's Southwest Region together in Buea each year. Traditional cuisines, dances, dress and crafts from across the divisions sit alongside entrepreneurial exhibitions showcasing regional business potential.
South West Cultural Festival is organised not by a cultural ministry or tourism board but by the South West Chiefs' Conference, the body representing the traditional rulers of Cameroon's Southwest Region, which gives the event a genuinely chieftaincy-led character distinct from state-run cultural showcases elsewhere in the country.
