The story

Fiesta de la Vendimia de Casablanca in Casablanca

Running since 2003 and now in its twelfth edition, Casablanca's harvest festival takes over the Estadio Municipal each April with wine tastings, parade floats, a Reina de la Vendimia crowning, grape-stomping and live music. The valley's cool-climate wine identity, shaped by winemaker Pablo Morande's work here starting in the 1980s, underpins a festival positioned within easy reach of both Santiago and Valparaiso.

Casablanca's Fiesta de la Vendimia began in 2003, when winery owners and workers in this cool-climate valley between Santiago and Valparaiso decided to mark the end of a successful harvest with a shared public celebration rather than separate, private toasts.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Casablanca Valley's identity as one of Chile's few cool-climate wine zones, known for Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir rather than the warmer-climate reds more associated with Chilean wine abroad, gives its harvest festival a distinct character among the country's many vendimia celebrations

02

The mystery stays covered

Its location, roughly midway between Santiago and Valparaiso, also makes it one of the most accessible vendimia festivals in the country for visitors based in either city, contributing to its growth into one of the most recognized wine events in the Valparaiso region
