Feria Costumbrista Kayu Lofof Quetroco in Freire/Quetroco
Feria Costumbrista Kayu Lof is a January weekend fair in the Rucatraro sector of Quetroco, near Freire, run by the Cooperativa Kayu Lof around Mapuche and campesino rural identity. Wood-fired lamb and pork asado, a claimed record-size rescoldo tortilla, and wood, leather and wool crafts distinguish it from the region's larger corn-focused costumbrista fairs.
The Feria Costumbrista Kayu Lof is organized by the Cooperativa Kayu Lof in the Rucatraro sector of Quetroco, a settlement on the Freire-Villarrica road roughly thirteen kilometres from Freire, and built explicitly around Mapuche and campesino rural identity rather than a generic costumbrista formula.
