Fiesta de la Humita de Talcamavida in Talcamavida
Fiesta de la Humita is a four-day corn festival in Talcamavida, a village within the Hualqui commune reachable by both road and rail. Centred on humita - corn dough steamed in its husk - rather than the broader choclo spread of nearby Hualqui's much larger fair, it runs a multi-day singing contest alongside nightly concerts each February.
Talcamavida's Fiesta de la Humita runs for four days each February in the village's Plaza de Armas, inside the commune of Hualqui but staged as its own distinct event from the larger Fiesta del Choclo held in Hualqui town itself.
