Guangzhou International Light Festival in Guangzhou
Guangzhou International Light Festival turns the Haixinsha-to-Huacheng Square axis into an open-air light show every November, pairing large illuminated installations with evening performances of acrobatics, magic and dance. Recognised by UNESCO in 2015 as a flagship International Year of Light event, it extends into sub-venues along the Pearl River and Huangpu District, giving visitors a multi-stop evening walk through Guangzhou's defining stretch of modern urban planning.
Haixinsha Island sits at the heart of Guangzhou's New Central Axis, and each November its riverside park becomes the anchor venue for the Guangzhou International Light Festival.
