The story

Truffle Days Istria in Motovun/Buzet

Truffle Days in Istria is a season-long autumn promotional programme spanning the truffle-rich zone between Motovun, Buzet, Pazin and Buje, combining themed restaurant menus, truffle hunting demonstrations and markets, traditionally opened by a giant truffle omelette in Buzet each September. Buzet itself was proclaimed the City of Truffles in 1999.

Truffle Days in Istria centers on the region often called the truffle triangle, the area between Pazin, Buje and Buzet that includes the Mirna river valley and the Motovun forest, one of the few places in the world where both prized white and black truffles grow wild.
