Omisalj Evening of Ancient Cuisine

Held each July at the Mirine-Fulfinum archaeological site near Omisalj on Krk, this evening event serves Roman-inspired cuisine directly among the ruins of the first-century settlement of Fulfinum and the fifth-century early Christian basilica of Mirina, drawing on the island's ancient past. The event is aimed at a broad audience, from island residents to visitors from mainland Rijeka and the wider Kvarner region.

Every July, the archaeological site of Mirine-Fulfinum, just outside Omisalj on the island of Krk, hosts what has become one of the municipality's most recognizable events: an evening built around what organizers describe as ancient Roman cuisine, staged directly among the ruins of Fulfinum, a Roman-era settlement whose remains date to the first century, and the early Christian basilica of Mirina, which dates to the fifth century.
