Giolou Almond Blossom Festival in Giolou
Giolou, in the Paphos district, holds its Almond Blossom Festival each February at the village coffee-shop square, still in its first decade of editions. Thirty-two exhibitors sell local delicacies, almond products, arts, crafts, and almond-scented cosmetics and soaps, alongside children's performances, Greek music, and hands-on workshops using real almond blossoms and branches as craft materials.
Thirty-two exhibitors fill Giolou's village coffee-shop square each February for the Paphos district's own Almond Blossom Festival, a considerably younger celebration than Limnatis's nearly two-decade-old version, still in its first decade of editions yet already drawing a genuinely substantial market of local delicacies, almond-based products, arts and crafts, and cosmetics and soaps scented specifically with almond oil and almond fragrance.
