Pachna Dairy Festival in Pachna
Pachna's Feast of the Shepherd, held every first Sunday of July in this Troodos-slope village known for two wineries and three cheese factories, features live milking demonstrations of goats and sheep, dairy product preparation shows, halloumi and anari tastings, a guided chapel tour, donkey rides, a guided train tour, a bazaar and children's pottery activities.
Known formally as Giorti tou Voskou, the Feast of the Shepherd, Pachna's dairy celebration held every first Sunday of July draws thousands of visitors to this Troodos-slope village at 745 metres, built specifically around dairy products from a community that supports two large wineries and three separate cheese factories within its small footprint.
