Valtice Wine Markets in Valtice
Valtice's wine exhibition tradition dates to 1858, with the modern competitive Wine Market format, held each May in the riding hall of Valtice Chateau, running since 1967. Around 150 exhibitors present nearly a thousand wines for professional judging, feeding into the national Wine Salon of the Czech Republic, whose top hundred wines go on permanent display in the chateau's historic cellars.
