Ribe Wine Festival in Ribe
Ribe Wine Festival has run since 2005 along the medieval pedestrian street of Ribe, Denmark's oldest town, each late August. Around thirty wine importers set up for tastings directly along the cobbled street, giving the event an intimate, walkable character organized since 2024 by the Ribe Merchants Association.
Ribe Wine Festival was first held in 2005, an idea conceived by Verner Thomsen, a longtime merchant on Ribe's historic pedestrian street who saw an opportunity to build a dedicated event around the town's medieval setting.
