Rotuma Day Celebrations Fiji

Rotuma Day, marked each May 13th, commemorates the 1881 cession of Rotuma to Britain, celebrated prominently in Suva and Lautoka by a Rotuman diaspora exceeding ten thousand in Fiji through kato'aga feasting, tau'aitu dance evenings, handicraft exhibitions and root crop competitions.
