Montrouis Coastal Culture Festival in Montrouis
Montrouis, a beach town on the Cote des Arcadins only made a full commune in 2015, marks the feast of Saint-Jean-Baptiste with activities running from around June 20 to 26, organized by the municipal government to draw tourists to resorts including Wahoo Bay, Kaliko Beach and Moulin Sur Mer, near the restored 18th-century Ogier-Fombrun plantation museum.
Montrouis, a beach town on Haiti's Cote des Arcadins south of Saint-Marc, was only elevated to full commune status in August 2015, having previously been the fourth communal section of Arcahaie, and it received its own municipal administration in December 2017, making it one of Haiti's youngest civic entities even as its coastline has a much older history.
