What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

The Joss House Bay celebration, often called Tai Miu, centres on a flotilla of decorated fishing vessels sailing into the bay, a practice with direct roots in the fishing communities who historically depended on Tin Hau's protection at sea

02

The mystery stays covered

Elsewhere in the city, individual district associations organise their own processions with lion and dragon dance teams, and temporary bamboo theatres are erected for Cantonese opera performances staged specifically for the festival at some temple sites
