Lucknow Mahotsav in Lucknow

A winter cultural fair in Lucknow, running about ten days since its 1975-76 founding under Uttar Pradesh's tourism department. Expect Kathak performances, ghazal and qawwali evenings, thumri and sitar recitals, plus stalls selling chikankari embroidery and Awadhi food, framed as a showcase of Lucknow's Nawabi-era Tehzeeb culture.
