Mateh Yehuda Wine Festival in Judean Hills
An annual wine festival spanning roughly forty wineries across the Mateh Yehuda region in the Judean Hills, opening with a large tasting event at the Yad LaShiryon memorial site in Latrun before dispersing to individual wineries. Programming includes new-vintage launches, winemaker meetings, food-and-wine pairings featuring traditional Jewish dishes, and live music, across a region with wine production traced back to ancient terraced farming.
About forty wineries, kosher and non-kosher alike, operate across the Mateh Yehuda region between Jerusalem and the coastal plain, and the annual Mateh Yehuda Wine Festival draws on that concentration to stage one of the oldest and most established events on Israel's wine calendar.
