Mouttet Mile in Caymanas

Caymanas Park's richest race day, run each December over the track's distinctive mile-chute course. Launched in 2022 as the successor to the Diamond Mile, the Mouttet Mile has quickly grown its purse past US$250,000 and now draws international horses and jockeys to Jamaica's main thoroughbred venue.

Rough Entry, ridden by Julien Leparoux, won the second running of the Mouttet Mile at Caymanas Park on December 2, 2023, confirming a young race that had launched only a year earlier as the successor to the Diamond Mile, a Caymanas fixture that ran from 2015 to 2019 on a US$150,000 purse.
