Sapporo Autumn Fest is a major food festival celebrating Hokkaido's culinary culture, stretching roughly one kilometer through Odori Park in Sapporo, Japan, with more than 300 food stalls. Begun in 2008 under the theme of Hokkaido and Sapporo cuisine, the free festival runs from mid-September through early October, drawing over 2 million visitors annually to sample fresh-grilled seafood, artisan cheese, local sake, and full-course meals from leading chefs.
Each autumn, Odori Park in central Sapporo turns into a kilometer-long procession of food.
