Ziobrines Neringa in Neringa
Ziobrines is a spring festival in Neringa marking the traditional opening of the Curonian Lagoon fishing season, named after the ziobris (ide) fish once caught in large numbers at that time of year. Centered on Nida's harbor, it features boat launches, open-fire fish cooking, a Fish Fillet Championship and special menus at local restaurants each April.
Boats slide off the sand at Nida's small harbor each spring to mark the moment the Curonian Lagoon opens back up to local fishermen after the winter's quiet months.
