Festival de la Mangue in Bamako
Festival de la Mangue celebrates Malian mango, the countrys second export product after cotton, staged at the Palace of Culture in Bamako. Editions center on mango processing as a driver of local development and employment. The 2026 edition, held March 24-29, named Spain guest country of honor, bringing together producers, processors and investors to promote mango transformation and export as an economic and diplomatic asset.
Mango holds a specific and significant place in Malis economy: it is the countrys second-largest export product, trailing only cotton, and Festival de la Mangue is built around that economic reality as much as around the fruit itself.
