The story

Qormi Wine Festival in Qormi

The Qormi Wine Festival is held each August along Main Street in front of St George's Parish Church in Qormi, widely regarded as the largest and most genuine wine event on the island. Partnering with Marsovin, it pours the winery's Cittadella, La Vallette, Verdala Rose, La Torre, 1919 and Caravaggio ranges alongside food stalls serving pork platters, ftira, wraps and fried ravjul.

Qormi, known historically as Il-Belt tal-Furnara, the City of Bakers, for its long association with bread production, has built its own distinct food and drink identity within Malta's town-by-town patchwork of culinary reputations.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Unlike wine events staged in dedicated gardens or venues, the Qormi Wine Festival takes over the town's own Main Street directly in front of its parish church, giving it an unpolished, genuinely local feel that organisers and attendees alike describe as the island's most authentic wine event

02

The mystery stays covered

Free admission and a deliberate focus on hearty Maltese street food, pork platters, traditional ftira bread, and fried ravjul pasta, alongside the wine, ties the festival as much to Qormi's food culture as to Marsovin's full range of Maltese wines
