Mai Dulce, or Sweeter May, calls itself the sweetest festival in Eastern Europe, born in May 2013 and organized by the K Lumea team. Now in its ninth-plus year, it gathers pastry chefs, artisans and local producers in Chisinau for an urban carnival of cooking workshops, dessert competitions and traditional treats like invartita and cornisoare alongside modern desserts.

In May 2013, the K Lumea team set out to build something Chisinau did not yet have: a festival devoted entirely to dessert.
