Prilep Beer Festival / Pivofest in Prilep
Pivofest is North Macedonia's largest beer-and-barbecue festival, launched in 2002 by the Municipality of Prilep together with local businesses. Held each July over four days, it draws roughly 200,000 visitors who sample Macedonian and international beers alongside grilled kebapi, pork and sausages, with nightly live performances by leading Macedonian and regional artists, and admission free of charge.
Pivofest began in 2002 as a joint initiative of the Municipality of Prilep and local businesses, aiming to create a large-scale summer event centered on beer and grilled food that would draw visitors to the city each July.
