Sargodha Citrus Festival in Sargodha
Known formally as the National Citrus Festival and locally as the Kinnow Mela, this event is held each January at Bhagwalia Kinnow Farmhouse in Kotmomin, Sargodha, timed to National Orange Day, with orchard tours, U-pick demonstrations, tractor and donkey-cart rides, and stalls of kinnow, mosambi, and seedless lemon varieties.
Sargodha sits at the center of Pakistan's citrus belt, producing so much of the country's kinnow - a mandarin-orange hybrid - that local boosters call it the City of Oranges and Eagles, and the region's National Citrus Festival, still widely known locally as the Kinnow Mela, gives that agricultural identity a direct annual showcase.
