Jifna Apricot Festival in Jifna
Jifna's Apricot Festival is a two-day event held each year in the first week of May in this small, historically Christian village north of Ramallah. Hundreds of visitors from across the West Bank travel to the village to take part in the apricot harvest, buy fruit and preserves at a local bazaar, and hear Palestinian officials speak about supporting domestic farming.
Jifna sits about eight kilometers north of Ramallah in the central West Bank, a village that has kept a Christian majority since at least the sixth century.
