Festival de la Naranja in Churuquita Grande
Each year from January 28 to February 1, Churuquita Grande in Panama's Cocle province, about thirty minutes from Penonome, hosts the Feria de la Naranja, or Orange Festival, blending cultural, folkloric, agricultural, and gastronomic programming. Local artisans and producers sell goods and traditional desserts made with papaya, coconut, guava, brown sugar, and cinnamon, while 160 folkloric groups perform on stage during the fair, with admission set at 2 dollars for adults and 1 dollar for children and seniors.
