Lanzones Festival in Camiguin
Lanzones Festival is an October harvest celebration on the small volcanic island province of Camiguin, honoring the annual lanzones fruit harvest with street dance, fruit displays and thanksgiving events centered mainly in the capital town of Mambajao and its surrounding coastal barangays and villages every year.
Camiguin is a small volcanic island province off the northern coast of Mindanao, notable for having more volcanoes than towns across its compact land area, including the active Hibok-Hibok, and for a cool, fertile soil that has made it particularly well suited to growing lanzones, a small round fruit with a thin peel and sweet, segmented flesh popular throughout Southeast Asia.
