Golden Autumn Moscow in Moscow
Golden Autumn is Moscow's flagship gastronomic festival, celebrating regional Russian cuisine each autumn as part of the Moscow Seasons program. Vendors from Siberia, the Far East, the Urals, Kuban, and Karelia bring cheese, honey, smoked fish, dried mushrooms, and preserves for tasting and sale across the city center.
Russia's regional food traditions, shaped by climate and geography as much as culture, differ dramatically from one end of the country to the other: the smoked and cured fish of the Far East and Murmansk bear little resemblance to Kuban's produce or Karelia's berry and mushroom preserves.
