Qassim Klija Festival in Buraydah
The Qassim Klija Festival is an annual food heritage festival in Buraydah celebrating klija, a traditional stuffed pastry central to Qassim's culinary identity. Now in its second decade, the festival has grown into a major regional draw, reportedly generating tens of millions of riyals in sales and supporting small local businesses.
Klija is not widely known outside Saudi Arabia, but within the kingdom it carries strong regional identity, understood as a specialty of Qassim province and, in particular, its capital Buraydah.
