Olands Skordefest, the Oland Harvest Festival, is the island's largest autumn event, held over a late-September weekend across virtually every community on Oland, from the southern tip to the north. Farm shops, flea markets and food stalls sell the season's pumpkins, potatoes, beans and onions alongside craft fairs and historical sites opened for the occasion, turning the whole island into a single sprawling harvest celebration.

Oland's economy has long run on agriculture and, in recent decades, on the tourism that its beaches, limestone alvar landscape and historic villages attract each summer, and Olands Skordefest was built to extend that visitor season into autumn by celebrating the harvest itself.
