Guanziling Hot Spring Food Festival in Guanziling
A seasonal celebration of Guanziling's distinctive gray mud hot springs and local mountain cuisine, held in the Guanziling hot spring area of Baihe District, Tainan, one of Taiwan's four historically famous hot spring towns, pairing bathing culture with regional food such as bamboo shoots and mountain vegetables.
Guanziling sits in the hills of Baihe District, in the northeastern reaches of Tainan, and owes its long tourism history to a geological rarity: a mud hot spring, one of only a few in the world and the only one in Taiwan, where volcanic mud mixes with the spring water to produce a distinctive gray, opaque bathing experience unlike the clear mineral springs found elsewhere on the island.
