Awakening Bangkok is an annual night-time light festival that places installations across historic streets, markets and riverside spaces rather than inside one ticketed venue. The eighth edition linked Pak Khlong Talat, Sam Yot, Memorial Bridge, Khlong Ong Ang and neighbouring Old Town districts through a free walking route after dark.

At Awakening Bangkok, a familiar bridge may become visible twice: first as infrastructure crossed every day, then as an artwork whose colour and movement expose lines that routine had made invisible.
