Datca Almond Blossom Festival in Datca
Each February, five villages across the Datca Peninsula host the Almond Blossom Festival, timed to the region's almond bloom. Datca supplies roughly a tenth of Turkey's almond crop across 85 identified local varieties grown by dry farming, and the festival mixes producer competitions, chef contests, guided hikes, and regional dance performances across its towns.
Each February, before most of Turkey has shaken off winter, the Datca Peninsula turns pale pink with almond blossom, and five of its villages open their streets for a festival built entirely around that bloom.
