Gumushane Rosehip and Pestil Festival in Gumushane
The Gumushane Rosehip and Pestil Festival, formally the Uluslararasi Kusburnu, Pestil, Kultur ve Turizm Festivali, reached its 26th edition in 2026. Held in the Black Sea highland city of Gumushane, it celebrates wild rosehip and mulberry-based pestil fruit leather with market stalls, craft exhibits and open-air evening concerts drawing crowds from across the surrounding province.
High in the Black Sea mountains, at an elevation that keeps summers mild and winters harsh, Gumushane has built one of the region's most specific and long-running food festivals around two products most visitors will never have tasted before: kusburnu, wild rosehip, and pestil, a dried fruit leather made from reduced mulberry pulp.
