The Carpathian Hutsul Bryndza Festival is an early-autumn cheese and craft fair centered on the mountain town of Rakhiv, Zakarpattia, celebrating the Hutsul tradition of turning ewe's milk into bryndza cheese. Founded in 1999, it pairs cheese tastings with kolomyika dancing, trembita horn calls, and a ceremonial shepherds' bonfire each year.

The Carpathian Hutsul Bryndza Festival began in 1999 as an initiative of the Carpathian Regional Development Agency, working with international foundations and district authorities to protect and popularize the cultural-historical traditions of Hutsul highland culture and to revive the craft of making cheese from sheep's milk.
