The story

Taste of Dubai in Dubai

Taste of Dubai has run each February since 2008 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, gathering sixteen handpicked restaurants serving taster-sized three-to-five-dish portions, celebrity chef live cooking across a Cook School, Chefs' Hub and Fire Pit, free included workshops, and kid-friendly dishes at every stall, drawing roughly twenty-five thousand attendees across its three-day run.

Sixteen handpicked restaurants each serve three to five taster-sized dishes rather than full plates, letting a single visitor realistically sample a genuine cross-section of Dubai's dining scene, from crowd favourites to fine-dining heavy hitters, across one afternoon rather than committing to one restaurant's full menu.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Structuring every participating restaurant around small taster portions, three to five dishes rather than a full plate, lets visitors build a personal tasting route across sixteen restaurants in a single afternoon, a format distinct from a typical restaurant week's one-restaurant, one-meal structure

02

The mystery stays covered

Including celebrity chef-led workshops free with general admission, rather than as a separate paid masterclass, also gives standard general admission tickets a genuine educational layer beyond simply eating alone
