Apache Rattlesnake Festival in Apache
The Apache Rattlesnake Festival fills downtown Apache, Oklahoma every April with rattlesnake round-ups, guided hunts, and a hands-on snake pit where handlers work live western diamondbacks in front of crowds. Organized by the Slick Hills Foundation, the four-day event pairs its reptile theme with carnival rides, live music, and more than 250 vendors selling food and crafts, with proceeds supporting local scholarships and emergency assistance.
Apache, Oklahoma sits in the Slick Hills of Caddo County, rocky, brush-covered terrain that has long supported healthy populations of western diamondback rattlesnakes.
