Aransas Pass Shrimporee in Aransas Pass
Shrimporee is Aransas Pass's signature festival, held since 1948 to honor the shrimping industry that once made the small Gulf Coast town known as the Shrimp Capital of Texas. Organized by the Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce, the 2026 edition marks its seventy-eighth year and returns to its traditional home at the Shrimporee Grounds after a brief, locally contested plan to relocate the event to a nearby airport site.
Its long-running seafood identity makes it a strong Gulf Coast food row.
