Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival in Bluffton
Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival is a multi-day fall celebration held each October in Old Town Bluffton, South Carolina, founded in 2005 by Dan Wood to support local artists and merchants and to protect the May River and its oystering heritage. The festival combines a juried Street Fest art show, an oyster roast and shrimp boil at Oyster Factory Park, live music, and community dinners.
In 2005, Dan Wood organized a single-day event in Old Town Bluffton, South Carolina meant to build community, support local merchants and artists, and draw attention to the May River and the historic Bluffton Oyster Company that has worked its waters for generations.
